ERP Technical Administrator:

The ERP Technical Administrator configures, integrates, and supports our ERP including the application, databases, 3rd Party Integrations, and the technical infrastructure. The ERP Technical Administrator will provide technical support in all areas to include release management, troubleshooting the application, user support, upgrades, and migrations. The ERP Technical Administrator shall lead the development of procedures and best practices for users of the applications; communicate and train as needed and may also guide the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Nixon Power currently utilizes Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2018 but we are planning a migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar) in the near future. The ERP Technical Administrator will be a key figure in this migration and then the ongoing operations.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support all aspects of the ERP including routine maintenance, databases, installs, updates, patches, customizations, integrations, backups, etc. including 3rd party applications.
  • Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple ERP related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones and follow-up communications
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external resources necessary to successfully complete assignments or projects.
  • Communicate problems, issues, resolution, and post-resolution follow-ups to Project Managers, IT Management and key business stakeholders.
  • Responsible for supporting, implementing and enforcing application security and vulnerability management including administration of the ERP, end users, roles, security, and all 3rd party tools.
  • Pro-actively monitor the infrastructure for areas to upgrade/decommission/improve, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets.
  • Conduct cross training within IT Department for overlap support as well as end user training on best practices within the ERP environment.
  • Responsible for creating best practices and suggestions to improve processes, business solutions, maintain data integrity and security.
  • Assist with other duties within the IT Department.

Qualifications: Key qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience supplemented by satisfactory completion of courses in the use of computers and applications, data communications technology, and problem determination or certification in GP Dynamics;
  • Minimum four years of hands on experience with MS Dynamics GP preferred, Business Central and/or Netsuite, experience would be a plus
  • Understanding of General Ledger, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory & Bill of Material, Project Accounting and Field Service.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server (2012 and newer), Database Backup/Recovery/Maintenance, Transact SQL, Great Plains table structure, Dexterity, eConnect, Visual Studio
  • Experience with Power BI, SSRS, Management Reporting, SmartList Builder, Avatax, ActivReporter, and Key2Act strongly desired
  • Microsoft Great Plains Certification & SQL DB is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
