ERS is seeking a Portfolio Manager to perform complex to highly complex asset management work for the Investments Division. Work involves researching, analyzing, and evaluating investments strategies and other investment information to implement approved investment policies and programs. May supervise the work of others. Works under general to limited supervision, with moderate to considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures, which includes the Code of Ethics in the ERS Investment Policy and the Standards of Professional Conduct for the Investments Division as set forth in the Investment Implementation Plan.
Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policy.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Portfolio Manager III will perform all of the duties listed above as Portfolio manager II and also:
Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:
1. Graduation from an accredited college or university in finance, economics, accounting, related field and/or target field including applicable math, statistics, and/or engineering degrees.
2. Two (2) to three (3) years (depending on classification level) of equity research and/or portfolio management work experience. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint or other business productivity related software.
Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications:
3. Prefer experience with global public equity markets.
4. Prefer experience supporting portfolio managers in a public or private pension system, endowment or foundation.
5. Prefer coursework that emphasizes on quantitative disciplines.
6. Prefer master's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting.
7. Prefer current participation in Chartered Financial Analyst program or CFA designation.
8. Prefer experience using Bloomberg.
9. Prefer experience traveling domestically and internationally for business.

ERS is seeking a Portfolio Manager to perform complex to highly complex asset management work for the Investments Division. Work involves researching, analyzing, and evaluating investments strategies and other investment information to implement approved investment policies and programs. May supervise the work of others. Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Performance
- Adds value to the Trust through selection of well-performing investment external strategies for the Public Equity asset class derived from strategic thinking and expert knowledge.
- Performs independent research and recommends investment ideas based on independent critical thinking.
- Makes recommendations regarding strategy and positioning for the asset class overall to the CIO, Managing Director of Public Equity, and other key constituencies.
o External Strategies
- Sources and researches investment firms/strategies that may be appropriate for the portfolio.
- Assists with investment strategy selection and due diligence process. Compiles and coordinates presentation materials and may present to the Asset Class Investment Committee and to the Board as needed. Maintains documentation supporting investment recommendations.
- Monitors investment firms/strategies on a qualitative and quantitative basis. Develops, generates, maintains, and documents analytical and informational reports. Assists with tracking investment firm/strategy information, e.g., calls, meetings, conferences, presentations and firm/strategy updates.
- Works closely with Managing Director of Public Equity on portfolio construction. May coordinate with Portfolio Management team on reporting, strategy and portfolio construction.
- Identifies key developments affecting public equity market performance at the regional, country, sector and security levels.
- Consults and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the program. Assists in following up with requests from the CIO, Deputy CIO, Chief of Staff and Managing Director of Public Equity.
o Communication
- Delivers timely updates of key developments that impact the performance of investment strategies.
- Synthesizes and disseminates critical information through verbal briefings and comprehensive documentation.
- Ensures the investment team has access to up-to-date, actionable insights for informed decision-making.
o Conferences/Travel
- Travels domestically and/or internationally for investments firm visits or industry conferences.
- Generates actionable ideas based on information gained from investment firm visits and conferences.
- Expands expertise to stay current on market trends and gain firsthand insights into investment strategies and portfolio construction.
o ERS Investment Policy
