This role is tailored for a dedicated attorney with 3+ years of experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, providing sophisticated advice and client-centered solutions.

Associate Estate Planning Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Estate Plan Development: Design and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to the unique needs of high-net-worth clients, including drafting wills, trusts, and other essential estate planning documents.
  • Client Consultation: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their financial objectives, familial considerations, and long-term goals, ensuring personalized and effective planning.
  • Wealth Transfer Strategies: Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, including tax considerations, charitable giving, business succession planning, and generation-skipping transfer tax.
  • Trust and Estate Administration: Manage matters related to the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations.
  • Tax Planning: Collaborate with financial advisors and tax professionals to optimize estate and gift tax planning strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing counsel and adapting plans as needed to reflect changes in clients' lives and goals.
  • Legal Research and Analysis: Stay informed of legal developments in estate planning, tax law, and trust administration to provide cutting-edge legal advice.


Associate Estate Planning Attorney Requirements:

  • JD from a top 100 law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in estate planning, specifically with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
  • Proficient in drafting complex estate planning documents and a thorough understanding of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to build trust with clients.
