Do you want to help people who are in a difficult and sometimes life-altering situation? Do you want to fight for someone else's rights and fairness?
We are an entrepreneurial boutique Estate Planning & Probate litigation law firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need an experienced associate to join our team and be a total superstar - working directly with the owner to support the team and help our clients.
We want to be known for helping our clients come out of an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast and we need an experienced attorney who can hit the ground running.
We love to help people learn and grow. We need an associate with a preferred 2-3 years of experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding.
This is a full-time position where you are expected to manage a caseload. Initial employment compensation will be based on your experience, with opportunities for increases after that. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability.
Responsibilities

Possess strong negotiation and organizational abilities.
Effectively advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs effectively, analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action.
Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation processes.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to discuss clients' needs and court processes and strategies.
Attend court proceedings regularly and assist with the management of litigation matters.
Possess a high degree of accountability and responsibility to ensure that the case is managed appropriately pursuant to professional rules of responsibility and procedural rules/requirements.
Independently maintain and manage individual casework, including representing clients at hearings.
Qualifications
Experience at a legal firm working on civil litigation law matters for at least 2-3 years Preferred.
Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required.
Wide range of knowledge regarding marketable titles.
Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
