Job Overview
Reporting to the Director, Branch Operations, as the Estimating Manager you are responsible for providing daily oversight and supervision of the Estimating and EWP Administration teams, monthly price updates, standard model pricing, project pricing and working with the Sales Manager to achieve target margins.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating as a member of the Branch Leadership team to execute strategic plans for the goals of the Branch.
- Supervising, developing, and providing guidance to Estimating team members.
- Using customer provided drawings to create materials lists to quote lumber, finish and or manufactured product lines.
- Maintaining updated and accurate homebuilders' standard model specifications and pricing.
- Setting sell price levels for all product categories in conjunction with the sales and purchasing teams.
- Overseeing quotes for commercial and multi-family projects ensuring contractual obligations are met or exclusions are clearly noted.
- Reviewing customer contracts and providing recommendation to execute. Providing ongoing support to Design and Sales team for change orders requests and ensuring project is billed at the contract price.
- Overseeing estimating software use and function.
- Establishing general procedures within the Estimating team while fostering a team spirit atmosphere.
- Staying current on industry standards and trends to leverage productivity and efficiency.

Essential Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive residential or commercial Production/Estimating experience.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and estimating software (Mitek, BisTrack, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of light frame (wood) construction is preferred.
- Previous experience in an Estimating role within the New Homes Sales Industry is a strong asset.
