Position Overview
The Estimator is responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and entering data into estimating software under the direction of a Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager.
Location: Seattle
Salary Range: $85-$115k
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following duties are associated with the Estimator role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed:
Review project specifications and plans. Perform accurate quantity take-offs and enter data into estimating software. Develop and manage Excel worksheets, bills of materials, and other estimating documents. Assist in preparing vendor bid packages.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education & Experience
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry or a combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and installation.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and estimating software.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense to execute written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
- Capable of resolving problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Certificates & Licenses
- Working knowledge of National and State Electrical Codes (NEC, WAC) is preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with moderate noise levels.
- Occasional exposure to construction environments may be required.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting; occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Requires vision capabilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
