Job Title: Construction Estimator
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000

Job Overview:
We are looking for a construction estimator to work in our Wilmington area office on a full time basis. We specialize in commercial construction and our projects include ground up and renovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the estimating process, putting bids together and meeting with owners
• Work with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding process
• Draft and define detailed scopes of work for subcontractors
• Ensure materials are priced accurately
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in negotiating favorable pricing with subcontractors, striving for cost-effective solutions.
• Accurately input all pertinent data and figures into the estimate to maintain precision and completeness.
• Adhere to standard project estimation, approval, and change control processes to ensure consistency and control.
• Identify potential issues or risks early, formulating strategies to minimize or mitigate these challenges.
• Resolve conflicts quickly and escalate issues when necessary to keep projects on schedule.
• Thoroughly understand bid requirements and clarify any uncertainties in scope to ensure clarity and avoid miscommunication.
• Proactively anticipate project challenges and minimize exclusions by thoroughly researching the project requirements ahead of bid submission.
• Perform detailed takeoffs to ensure accurate material quantities and labor projections, contributing to a precise estimate.
• Manage the buyout process for awarded projects, ensuring that all contract terms and project requirements are met.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience at a General Contractor
• Experience bidding projects over $3M in size
• Experience with commercial construction projects

Compensation

• Annual Salary 90-130K depending on experience
