Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Senior Estimator with experience in leading the delivery of infrastructure projects. The role involves managing safety, superintendents, project/office engineers, the owner, and the public. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, project finance administration, insurances, safety, quality management, and the development of value-engineering solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for managing client service, relationships, and expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret bid documents to understand the project budget, plans/specifications.
  • Develop and analyze the project schedule.
  • Establish the owner's office and set up field office electronic files.
  • Buy out the project and execute subcontracts/purchase orders.
  • Manage EEO goals and participation.
  • Manage shop drawings and develop value engineering solutions.
  • Manage approval of the project-specific health and safety plan (HASP) and permits.
  • Maintain project safety and security during construction.
  • Manage correspondence and interactions with the Owner.
  • Manage CPM schedule updates/logic and document delays.
  • Identify, document, and negotiate extra work.
  • Manage project account payables and field operations in coordination with Superintendents.
  • Confirm proper cost coding and monitor costs and project total cost.
  • Manage long-lead material procurement.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, the public, and the owner.
  • Perform all project closeout activities, including managing final payment from the owner and final payments to subcontractors and suppliers, and closing out all administrative deliverables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in serving as Project Manager for projects valued at $20M or more.
  • Proven history controlling the safety culture on a project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering challenges/solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in Heavy Civil & Site Development, Highways, and Roadways.
  • PM & Estimating qualifications.
Work Environment

The role involves working in an environment that includes both office and field settings. The candidate will utilize technologies such as HCSS HeavyBid and HCSS HeavyJob. The work environment will require interaction with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, the public, and the owner. The position may require managing long-lead material procurement and ensuring project safety and security.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $250000.00/hr.
