Position Summary

IONNA is looking for a motivated and mission driven Lab Manager for the technology team. The Technology team is a mission driven group committed to making an impact to address the generation problem of Climate Change. The Lab Manager supports the day to day operations of our charging technology lab in our Durham headquarters. In addition, there are 10 satellite labs (through our OEM and vendor partnerships) that will also require oversight. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to enable testing of new and existing vehicle charging operations as well as new and existing products to support driver experience at our IONNA rechargeries. This may include access control systems, grab and go frictionless point of sale technologies among others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of the lab, following and enforcing policies around safety, usage and equipment, including vehicles and EV chargers as well as lab tools.


  • Manage inventory of charging hardware and related components, including up to date counts, serial numbers, location and in/outbound shipping.


  • Manage the IONNA/ OEM vehicle fleet, including vehicles and keys as per agreed upon standards and policies.


  • Help the Technology Test team withn configuration, set-up, and environment execution of established test plans. Includes OEM app testing, roaming with third-party platforms, charging stack software and hardware components.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into technical specifications to be configured within the lab. These systems could include security cameras, internet connectivity, credit card hardware and software.


  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in the partner's software, identifying and fixing bugs as needed.


  • Develop and maintain documentation for hardware, software, testing, systems and processes.


  • Monitor and manage 10 satellite labs (specifically our chargers) at various partner locations. Key focus will be monitoring status and ensuring charger is operational at all times.


Travel

  • Travel could be up to 25%


  • The whole Technology Test Team will be traveling to the various OEM lab locations (located within the US), Lab Manager will also need to participate in these travels.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or equivalent.


  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating responsibility for managing Software/ Hardware Lab spaces and policies.


  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


  • Strong demonstration of documentation standards (includes both testing and policy).


  • Must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, management, and technical principles.


  • Must have and maintain a current and clean North Carolina drivers license.


  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.


  • PLUS: General electrician experience.


  • PLUS: Test Case management experience.
