POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the President, the Event Producer plays a highly collaborative role to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing client stewardship. The Event Producer is a relationship builder among BaAM's client community and a teambuilder among peers. They bridge these external and internal stakeholders, streamlining client objectives and information to best navigate project requirements across shared services, creative, production, and event management resources.
The Event Producer is a primary point of contact for clients throughout all phases of a project. They work with BaAM's Production Managers and Project Managers to ensure the right combination of expert resources to deliver project requirements - beyond expectations. These projects may include large-scale events or more permanent installations, requiring varying degrees of facility integration.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with clients - both established and new - to understand their event vision and objectives
Develop event proposals, budgets, and timelines that align with client goals
Ensure that client expectations are met by translating their vision into actionable steps for the event management/production team and collaborate with colleagues to coordinate cross-disciplinary work
Monitor event budgets to ensure all elements are delivered within financial constraints, referencing BaAM-developed and Client-driven documentation (e.g. purchase orders, estimates, rate cards, etc.)
Act as client liaison throughout the project life cycle
Be responsible for or contribute to supplier management, site management, delivery and operations management
Ensure all documentation follows existing processes and industry best practice
Work with clients and partners to bring added value to projects and project revenues as appropriate Represent BaAM in a professional manner in all interactions with clients, vendor partners, coworkers, etc.
Willing to assume other roles and responsibilities as assigned or as needed
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education and training
University Degree or College Diploma or equitable live experience required
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset
Background and experience
Successful candidate will have 10+ years previous experience working as an Event Manager, Event Producer or as a Project Manager in the event and entertainment industry and have solid knowledge of processes, practices, tools and templates
Experience working on live events in a management capacity
Experience managing large project teams which are performing various roles on active and busy projects Physical demands
Travel for site surveys and events as required (US, Canada) Other requirements
To be available to travel as required on a project-by-project basis.
When required, must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support project schedule deadlines
