Executive Assistant to the CEO
Aevum is seeking a rockstar Executive Assistant (EA) to support our CEO Jay Skylus. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Long Beach, California. The EA is a strategic generalist who serves as the primary point of contact for the CEO to VIP's. The most successful candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate extreme professionalism, and have significant real-world experience supporting high performance CEO's. You will use your expertise, diligence, "can do" attitude, and tactical organizational skills to assist the CEO achieve in his strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate is highly resourceful, a self-starter, an adept anticipator, hungry to support a high-performance individual with the innate ability to adapt and remain composed under pressure. This individual is a natural decision-maker who displays good judgement, and possesses the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks. Flexibility and the ability to communicate with a high degree of professionalism is a must.
The administrative work involves exposure to highly sensitive, confidential, and/or classified information requiring confidentiality, tact, and discretion. Trustworthiness is a firm requirement.
Travel is required of the Executive Assistant when requested by the CEO.
The company will provide all equipment, iPhone, laptop, etc. US defense industry experience is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities
Up to $150,000 per year, considered for RSU, ESO, and bonuses

Additional Responsibilities
- Be a strategic partner to the CEO.
- Learn the business and become a trusted operations leader within the Office of the CEO.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the CEO, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature. Prioritize and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect CEO's preferences and company policies and procedures.
- Provide "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role, providing a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO and staff, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with the executive management team.
- Invest in building long-lasting relationships both externally and internally as a key representative of the CEO.
- Relentlessly manage the CEO's time. Organize and maintain the CEO's calendar, appointments, action items and support the CEO by informing him of all commitments and responsibilities. Follow up on behalf of the CEO when appropriate.
- Work closely with the CEO to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Act as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the CEO updated. Anticipate CEO's needs in advance of meetings, conferences, etc.
- Arrange travel, travel plans, itineraries, agendas, visas and accommodation and travel with the CEO and ensure that all relevant documents are available for travel related activities. Travel with the CEO, as requested.
- Research, compile, organize, graph, and accurately portray information.
- Plan and coordinate Executive Team meetings, retreats, staff meetings, and events, as assigned.
- Willingness to fulfill any other responsibilities and tasks for the CEO, as requested.
- 3+ years of experience supporting high profile executive leaders, including Board members, senior executives, staff, high profile investors, and partners.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and proprietary information
- Security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to complete a high volume of scheduling, event coordination, tasks, and projects
- Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
- Ability to work in an in-office setting
- General availability (nights/weekends) to support the CEO
- Frequent domestic travel may be required; occasional international travel
- Experience in the defense or technology industry is a plus
