About Our Agency:

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.

Job Purpose:
Under limited supervision, assists the SCETV President (Agency Head) with confidential/special projects, research assignments and agency-wide projects. Serves as the President's central point of contact, driving task execution and project completion. Serves as liaison between executives and external partners to streamline communications and coordination. Serves as Executive Secretary to the South Carolina Educational Television Commission; coordinating Commission agenda and facilitating executive support for the maintenance of official Commission actions. Provides clarity and other assistance to agency's senior leadership team, as needed, to facilitate priorities established by the President. Routinely consults with the President to assist in meeting preparations including development of agenda and presentations. Provides high-level direct assistance to the President through the efficient management of the support operations of the Executive Office, including oversight of the President's schedule which involves meetings and calls with the Office of the Governor, legislators, and other state and national leaders and members of the public. Responsible for managing priorities, solving issues, and coordinating special projects.

Arranges and handles all logistics for Board meetings and events: schedules meetings; drafts agendas; develops, compiles, and distributes presentation materials; and records meeting minutes on behalf of President and SCETV governing body in capacity as Executive Secretary to the Commission. Organize and coordinate the booking of venues, catering services, and other logistical arrangements for administrative meetings and public events.

Provides high-level executive assistance to ensure the President operates efficiently. Manages the President's schedule, handles critical communications, and represents the President's voice in emails, calls, and meetings. Compiles, documents and retains information related to SCETV initiatives and programs. Identifies and coordinates available resources to manage and accomplish administrative assignments. Handles travel coordination for the President including air and ground transportation, hotel reservations, and other travel documentation. Files expense reports and uploads receipts.

Provides "gatekeeper" and "gateway" roles, providing a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO and staff, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with the staff and the Executive Team. Prioritizes inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements. Tracks and drives key action items, ensuring follow-through on high-priority initiatives.

Evaluates and assists in developing office policies and procedures for improved workflow and anticipates future needs. May assist in initiatives focused on refining delivery methodologies and related processes, contributing to the organization's agility.

Uses independent judgment and discretion to prioritize demanding calendars, ensure the President is prepared appropriately with all pre-read materials, in-meeting organization, and action items follow up. Organizes and maintain confidential data and information with the utmost integrity. Understands division wide operating procedures and can prioritize projects, requests, and executive calendar accordingly. May make recommendations to leaders to help better prioritize incoming requests.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience in public administration, business administration, planning or public relations.
