Duties * Managing the activities of SDCO leadership across seven Divisions, to include senior government civilians and military officers. * Leading strategic planning activities, ensuring alignment with the priorities and philosophies for the position being held. * Develops and implements policies and plans that ensure mission objectives are efficiently, effectively and consistently met. * Exercising program management expertise and managerial competence to direct and coordinate the planning of new and diverse projects to accomplish long and short-range objectives. * Provides guidance and oversight over garrison and deployed 24-hour executive communications and information technology architectures and capabilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a U.S. Citizen. * This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. * Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. * Incumbent must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. * This is a Mission Essential position. * The incumbent is required to provide a full and complete disclosure of financial interests in accordance with OGE 450, Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, or alternate as directed. * This is a drug tested position Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. For entry at the GS-15 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-14 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as Experience with Department of Defense program objective memorandum (POM) and other Department budgetary methodologies, Experience with Department of Defense contracting AND Communications experience supporting senior level leadership, i.e. communications support to General Officers, Political Appointees, Senior Executive Service and immediate staff. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
