Description:

We're seeking a high-judgement, data-driven, and detail-oriented communications professional to support executive communications for the Amazon Devices & Services (D&S) business. This individual will drive the day-to-day execution of our executive communications program, playing a key role in strategic planning and owning program management (vetting, tracking, and supporting engagements like media interviews, speaking engagements, and internal events) as well as delivering weekly social content informed by data and business priorities. They will write talking points, employee communications, and other materials on behalf of our leaders, and will also own key cross-team mechanisms and resources like a spokesperson training program, executive social media center of excellence, and messaging/Q&A repository.

This individual will collaborate closely with product PR teams, other executive communications teams, and the executive's office to deliver a best-in-class program-creative content that consistently beats benchmarks and grows the executive's social following, high-impact media interviews that advance business objectives, and thoughtful internal engagements that inform and inspire employees. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with an ability to capture an executive's voice/style, and someone with experience communicating strategically across channels. This candidate must have the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, navigate a large-scale, complex business, bring creativity and fresh thinking to the program, and scale learnings/mechanisms to help the broader team achieve their goals.

Key job responsibilities

-Lead the end-to-end execution of a senior executive's social media presence, including content sourcing, drafting posts and visuals, and tracking engagement metrics.

-Maintain and regularly update an executive activity tracker, coordinating with key stakeholders through weekly updates and monthly review meetings.

-Oversee the broader Devices & Services executive social media program, collaborating with PR leads to align messaging and content across leaders, especially around key milestones and product launches.

-Manage cross-functional spokesperson training efforts in partnership with product communications leads.

-Own the development and regular updates of cross-organizational messaging, briefing, and Q&A documents.

-Drive the creation of key briefing materials, including interview prep documents and internal communications content.

-Support the drafting of executive communications, such as employee emails, talking points, and internal presentations.

-Coordinate planning and logistics for executive travel in collaboration with stakeholders across teams.

-Lead workback planning and operational execution for internal communications events such as town halls and fireside chats.

-Contribute to strategic planning processes by helping to draft annual and biannual planning documents.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

- Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
