The Opportunity
The Child and Family Programs Division within the Ministry of Social Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative leader for the position of Executive Director, Community Services. As part of the Division's Executive team, you will provide leadership and oversight to a large team of employees across the province delivering child and family programs, as well as develop collaborative relationships with Indigenous partners and community-based organizations providing services to children, youth and families.

Typically, the knowledge and competencies for this position would be acquired through a graduate degree in a related field of study such as social work, public administration, or public policy and significant leadership experience. The Opportunity
The Child and Family Programs Division within the Ministry of Social Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative leader for the position of Executive Director, Community Services. As part of the Division's Executive team, you will provide leadership and oversight to a large team of employees across the province delivering child and family programs, as well as develop collaborative relationships with Indigenous partners and community-based organizations providing services to children, youth and families.
As a key member of the Ministry's leadership team, the Executive Director will:
- Develop and maintain partnerships while leading staff in developing relationships and service delivery arrangements with Indigenous and community-based organizations to support children, youth and families;
- Contribute to policy development, planning, and implementation of cross-ministry initiatives, sharing responsibility for achieving corporate goals;
- Advance the Ministry's and government's strategic corporate agenda while embedding the Ministry's corporate culture and values throughout the branch; and,
- Act as the division's representative to stakeholders and the public, communicating policies, programs, and services clearly and confidently.

- Knowledge and experience of government procedures including legislations, program and policy development and decision-making, planning and accountability; and,
- Experience in managing fiscal and human resources to ensure the effective use of resources in meeting divisional and branch plan objectives.
