The Opportunity

The Policy, Planning and Corporate Services Division requires an innovative, collaborative, and strategic leader for the role of Executive Director, Corporate Services. In this pivotal position, you will manage various finance and operational issues and projects, while ensuring financial compliance.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, the successful candidate will:

  • Lead the ministry's annual budget process and the development of business cases or documentation to support the budget request;


  • Provide financial management oversight - provide direction, financial reporting and analysis to ministry senior leadership including liaising with the Ministry of Finance and the provincial auditor;
  • Ensure the development of the ministry's core plans and lead enterprise risk management activities;
  • Lead planning and oversight of information management and information technology initiatives;
  • Lead the corporate support functions (administrative support, accommodations, procurement, and employee development programs) for the ministry; and
  • Participate as an active member of the ministry's senior leadership committees.

The knowledge, competencies and skills necessary for this position have likely been acquired through completing a degree in business or public administration or a related discipline and government experience.
