A Brief Overview
As part of Global FP&A & Expense Management team, the Executive Director provides collaborative and transformational contributions to overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the company's financial performance. The scope of this role is broad as it encompasses quarterly reporting and annual planning of the operating expenses, partnering primarily across RGA IT and other corporate functions, to deliver value added insights to Finance and Business leaders. This person also provides Finance leadership for global effort to develop key expense metrics, identify cost efficiency opportunities and recommend solutions to improve RGA expense margins and overall expense levels while supporting growth initiatives.

Compensation Range:
$123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. What you will do
- Provide collaborative and transformational leadership in a matrix environment to ensure quality, usefulness and integrity of financial plans, ensure ownership of key assumptions and submissions, consistency in plan reporting processes and technologies with actual reporting and financial reporting and analytics across management teams, engage with key stakeholders to foster a culture of cost awareness and accountability, lead workshops and presentations to educate teams on best practices in expense management and the importance of cost optimization
- Partner with IT leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and technology investment plans, lead the preparation, management, and tracking of IT budgets, forecasts, and financial models and partner with IT to identify optimization opportunities.
- Lead the identification, development, and implementation of cost optimization opportunities to enhance overall financial performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze expense trends and uncover areas for potential savings
- Partner with other areas of finance and other areas of the company to create insightful financial analyses and presentations to leadership, and provide leadership and support during the budget process
- Develop metrics to track trends, identify opportunities, clearly communicate recommendations, and collaborate across all levels of the organization, and utilize storytelling and visualization techniques in development of Executive and Board of Director level presentations.
- Manage, coach, collaborate and develop personnel involved in tracking, analyzing and reporting financial and operational metrics across multi-product, multi-function, global organization.
- Supervisory and people management duties, ensuring workforce skills are developed and processes are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience required
- Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) and CPA preferred
- Expertise in Power BI or other comparable technology
- Highly advanced verbal and written skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received, and ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions, ability to translate data into information and communicate to all levels in the organization
- Highly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
- Highly advanced level of investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Expert ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.
