Executive Director, Product Marketing

Overview:

The Executive Director possesses a passion for storytelling and go-to-market execution. The Executive Director will collaborate with key partners across Omnicom including Learning & Development, Marketing, PR, Agency Leadership, and New Business teams to execute go-to-market plans. As such, this role will also be expected to provide leadership and direction around all marketing materials, experiences, and platforms to be used to best communicate the differentiating value of our capabilities to internal and external customers alike.

We have an immediate need for this role, and are currently seeking individuals who are interested in long-term independent contractor engagements (on 1099 status).

Responsibilities:

Product Marketing
  • Design, development and management/curation of collateral and presentations. Collateral and presentations include L&D focused materials, Pitch decks, New Business RFI and RFP oriented materials
  • Present materials to internal and external clients with confidence and enthusiasm, heroing OMG capabilities
  • Partnering with OMG New Business teams to identify and prioritize new business opportunities and support pitch material development
  • Define and refine product strategy in partnership with executive leadership, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals
  • Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify opportunities how best to design and position the solution as a compelling solve for business use cases
  • Leverage utilization and marketplace data to recommend solution designs and inform product investments based on business impact, return on investment, and long-term value creation.
  • Architect solution frameworks that connect client ambitions with technical capabilities, translating complex offerings into clear marketing narratives that effectively communicate value
  • Recommend solution improvements based on market feedback and competitive analysis to ensure continued differentiation in the marketplace
  • Conduct research (both end user and industry research) to understand what products are needed to take advantage of growth areas, and what products are needed to promote underperforming areas
  • Create internal and external marketing materials in partnership and with guidance from the experience team to communicate the benefits of the proprietary solution to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to new business deliverables including but not limited to RFI questionnaires and collateral that demonstrates the benefit of the solution (including collaborating on solution design documentation that demonstrates competitive advantages)
  • Research and recommend participation in public trade shows and networking events in which the solution can be marketed to an appropriate audience
  • Provide strategic direction to the broader marketing and experience team and support all aspects of their marketing efforts including but not limited to branding, education, revenue generation, ad campaigns, consumer demand, and attract new clients because of the solution

Training
  • Partner with OMG internal L&D team on internal presentation event production (i.e. attendance mapping, announcement promotion, follow-up enrollment via team push, delivery of final recording and materials via OMG internal learning site for tracking)
  • Manage review and approval of materials with executive sponsors and senior management

Thought Leadership
  • Understand the market landscape for the business lines and react quickly to relevant news with POV (Point of View) materials in collaboration with the Presidents of the relevant business lines
  • Partner with agency leads to identify opportunities for education and pushing adoption of the new capabilities - Build a network of agency champions for the business lines to craft case studies and share feedback on the products.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success working across organizations and designing solutions in an agency and consultancy setting, in support of marketing and product development
  • Technical background, with experience articulating and representing highly technical media and advertising capabilities to a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical in nature - this includes:
  • Digital media planning and buying, both programmatic and direct
  • Digital media AdTech and MarTech platforms in paid media, such as DMPs and DSPs
  • Consultative approach in engaging with partners and prospective clients, with an ability to go to significant depth with clients and agency teams to design a service offering fit for purpose for their goals
  • Highly organized, with ability to develop well-structured marketing strategy plans and to guide and lead on New Business Development
  • Strong collaborator with the skill to work with cross-functional teams and generate support for key initiatives
  • Experienced People Leader, with track record of managing multiple functions with a zeal for people and teams Education & Experience
  • 10+ years' experience in Marketing and Product Marketing, with demonstrated success building strategy and execution, across technical services such as AdTech or MarTech.
  • Experience in Digital Advertising Technology and applications to clients and businesses


This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
