Executive Support Specialist
Salary: $52.90/hour
Location: Oakland, CA (Fully On-site)
BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Executive Support Specialist.
As an Executive Support Specialist in Close Protection, the applicant will play a pivotal role in our executive protection program, offering comprehensive support across a variety of services including close protection, secure transportation operations, and event security.
The Executive Support Specialist responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting in the development of security plans, executing protective measures to safeguard corporate executives, adhere to established safety protocol, and building effective relationships with vendor personnel and subcontractors. Duties will also involve conducting risk assessments, creating and updating security paradigm and procedures, and applying industry best practices to improve our executive protection services. A crucial part of the Executive Support Specialist's role is to ensure that all aspects of the program are well-coordinated and aligned with the enterprise's overall safety and security strategy. Communication skills are paramount, as the Executive Support Specialist will liaise with executives and their assistants, event organizers, venue staff, and law enforcement to ensure the smooth execution of security measures.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Executive Protection: Ensure the safety and well-being of the Chairman and CEO. This will involve conducting comprehensive site surveys to evaluate potential security threats and implementing suitable countermeasures. Additionally, the Executive Support Specialist will oversee logistical aspects such as transportation, accommodations, and venue security to facilitate the smooth and secure movement of executives and CEO during events and travel. In certain instances, collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and external security providers will be necessary to establish effective communication channels.
Executive Travel: Accountable for overseeing executive travel arrangements, both domestically and internationally, throughout events and corporate offices. This entails devising and executing security protocols and procedures, liaising with local law enforcement agencies and security consultants, and working closely with a team of executive protection specialists to safeguard executives and CEO during their travels.
Collaboration: The Executive Support Specialist will collaborate with other departments, stakeholders, or vendors to ensure that the executive protection program aligns with the overall security strategy of the company. This may include working with Executive Staff, HR, Legal, and IT departments to ensure that security policies and procedures are properly integrated into the company's overall operations.
Administrative Activities: completing required compliance documents, mandatory company trainings, vendor access requirements.

Minimum Qualifications at Entry:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Executive Protection, Close Protection, or a related field. (Physical Security will not be considered as experience).
- CA BSIS Security Guard Card & Exposed Firearms, BLS First Aid/ AED Adult & Children, and completion of recognized Executive Protection training academy/program. (Acceptable training academies include Gavin de Becker, AUS, PFC, R.L. Oatman, EPI, Gov/Military/LEO PSD training programs. )
- Proficiency in utilizing communication software such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word. Strong report writing, including the development of security planning documents, country reports, and risk assessments.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. (Additional relevant education or training in law enforcement, security management, risk assessment, or a related field preferred)
- The legal right to work in the United States.
- Possess a valid government-issued driver's license or state-issued I.D.
