How we LEAD:
In order to help drive the business forward, UMGN is seeking an EVP/GM who will be a strategic and operational superstar responsible for providing the strategic vision and direction for the label and who can develop and implement a vision, and lead, develop and mentor staff.
How You'll CREATE:
- Work closely with the Executive Team and various department heads to set and execute Business Strategy for the label
- Work closely with the Executive Team and PIC on Staff Planning, which includes, headcount analysis, promotions, employee development, talent planning, employee career discussions and employment related issues
- Advising artist management in their strategic planning
- Act as primary liaison between artist and label, maintaining awareness of communication any artist issues, plans, sensitivities, etc. to the team while also diplomatically representing the label's interests to the artist
- Consistently analyze results of marketing efforts as well as any other appropriate contextual market conditions; identify key opportunities and communicate these to the team
- Understand the demographics that comprise artists' fan bases and increase revenue streams
- Direct the development and evolution of marketing strategies for the launch of artist projects
- Constant communication between artist management, and international affiliates to regularly update them on development on their projects.

- Travel required.
- Extensive music industry experience as an executive.
- Experience breaking new artists with a keen understanding of current market conditions, trends etc. and how they converge to influence and emerging practices
- A demonstrated leader with an entrepreneurial, risk - taking mind- set, who is also able to effectively manage a team of highly motivated creative professionals
