This role demands a unique blend of creative vision, technical understanding, and a pragmatic approach to design realization. We need someone who is not only obsessed with exploring and advancing the latest interactive design trends and hardware capabilities but also possesses a keen understanding of the automotive landscape and a knack for crafting experiences that resonate with our customers. This role will focus on integrated service opportunities-building experiences that extend beyond the core vehicle offering.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
The ideal candidate will work under experienced Orchestration team leadership and support the Design DNA center of excellence within Digital Product Design by:
- Leading the design of features and improvements of our products ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs.
- Efforts will include driving communicative lighting strategies forward, understanding unique ingress/egress opportunities to reduce friction for our customers, and developing design solutions and concepts tied to integrated service opportunities (experiences unlocked via subscriptions)
- Using a combination of design tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Rive, After Effects, Unreal) to develop vehicle features and compelling user experiences.
- Taking ownership of independent tracks of design work and managing timelines and deliverables.
- Developing and iterating user flows, mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Applying data driven insights to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes.
- Executing designs with a keen sensibility to multi-sensory inputs/outputs, environmental design, UI design, and mastery in design foundations (layout, color, typography and interaction).
- Exhibiting a passion for emerging hardware and software technologies, new interaction models, physical and digital product design, and excellence in visual design.
- Collaborating close with Product Management, Engineering and Feature Teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to implementation.
- Employing a systematic approach to solving large, complex design challenges.
- Presenting creative work early and often to key stakeholders in design reviews.
Qualifications
What you'll have...
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience working across a triad of designers, engineers and product
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end design work required
- Experience with advanced lighting experience and sound concept
- High performing prototyping abilities (e.g. Figma, ProtoPie/Rive or similar)
- Proof-points/experience owning work from ideation to delivery. This includes experience working directly with Engineering & Product Management teams to deliver design files, design assets, and documentation required to produce a launch-able product.
- Proven experience collaborating with Engineering teams to solve development issues through design, monitoring customer feedback and product analytics, and refining design in response to incoming feedback and data.
- Experience working in Jira, owning tasks that map to delivery stage for engineering
- Experience with iteratively designing a product in production based on usage and customer feedback
- Portfolio of your work is required upon application- please provide passwords if needed

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in human-centered design approaches, techniques, and philosophy
- Automotive UI/HMI experience is preferred
- Background in digital product design solutions
- Excellent concepting, written, oral and visual communication abilities
- In-depth knowledge of the latest multi-sensory design trends, techniques, and technologies
- Background working through iterative product design cycles
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
