What is the position? Evercore seeks to hire a Portfolio Management Analyst for its Wealth Management team in San Francisco, CA.
Primary Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for partnering with the firm's San Francisco based Portfolio Managers and other professionals. This position contributes to investment and portfolio activities including supporting research and analysis, client material preparation, trading, performance reporting, monitoring and reconciling client accounts, monitoring asset movement and trading and trade settlement. This role will also contribute to the firm's business development through work on proposals and interactions with prospects. This is a broad and diverse role with numerous ways to contribute to the firm, work with clients and progress quickly as a professional with experienced and supportive mentors. The Analyst's primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Expected Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

The Analyst's primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Portfolio Management
- Trade creation: block trade entry, support and backup trading for SF based PMs; liaise with Fixed Income group on bond orders
- Trade settlement: communicate trade details to 3rd party custodians and verify trade details are reflected in EWM reporting system
- Portfolio reporting: run reporting packages for periodic PM meetings; run & review daily trade reports (overdrafts, in & outflows) and flag items for PM review
- Data quality control: review reports and work to correct missing or bad data
- Client presentations: run reports and compile into finished presentation for client meetings
- General: provide other support for PMs as needed
Investment Support
- Core Equity research: potential to contribute to the firm's Core Equity team by covering quarterly earnings calls, summarizing earnings reports, conducting analysis and gathering information for new ideas under consideration
- External Manager research: support analysis of 3rd party funds, ETFs, offerings, and private investments as requested/needed
- Special investment projects: quantitative analysis for annual capital markets projections
- Meeting minutes: take or edit minutes of various investment meetings, on a rotating basis as needed
Business Development
- Prospect presentations: analyze prospect holdings; perform fee analysis; create finished prospect deck for prospect meetings
- Request for Proposals (RFPs): support the new business process for non-profit clients by gathering necessary info and coordinating with EWM's RFP Committee
Compliance and Risk Management Support
- Investment Policy Statements: create draft IPS for PMs to review and edit as needed
- Relationship Reviews and "Reg 9s": collect data as needed (fee calculations) and coordinate with Compliance to ensure all relevant reports are created (IPS, latest meeting materials, etc)
Client Service/Ops Support
- Transfer of Assets: perform reconciliation of incoming assets; ensure cost bases are properly reflected in EWM systems
- Client reporting: update custom client reporting packages as needed
Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 0-2 years work experience
- Financial industry and wealth management business knowledge
- Positive outlook, nimble and strong willingness to learn
- Exceptional time-management, organizational and communication skills/attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently, but also able to thrive in a team based model
- Proficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Knowledge of Advent APX/Moxy, CRM, Bloomberg, Factset, a plus
