Your Tasks

As a Lead Electrical Engineer you play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing our green hydrogen production technology. With a focus on power electronics and electrical system integration, this position ensures our electrolyzers operate efficiently and safely within various operational environments. Your expertise and strategic insights are crucial to driving our mission forward, enhancing sustainable hydrogen solutions while upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence in both product and project development.
  • Project-Specific Electrical Engineering: you will lead the engineering efforts for power electronics projects, including the assessment of regional grid connection conditions and adherence to all applicable norms, guidelines, and standards.
  • Design and Planning of Power Supply Systems: you will oversee the design of transformers and rectifiers, including enclosures, and plan the cabling and routing for low-voltage connections to customer sites, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and collaborative product engineering efforts.
  • Technical Documentation and Adaptation: you will prepare and revise technical documentation, including specifications, single-line diagrams (SLDs) and layout plans. Adapt designs to meet specific customer requirements and address technical feasibility concerns.
  • Customer Interaction and Solution Development: you will engage directly with customers to answer technical queries and tailor product solutions and develop integrated system solutions using existing products to meet customer needs.
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: you will contribute to sales, bidding, engineering and project management teams in both Germany and the US and contribute insights to product management and development processes, enhancing product offerings and strategic direction.

Your Profile

  • You are graduated in Electrical Engineering or in a closely related field.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and hardware planning for automated, process engineering plants (ideally onsite experience in hydorgen & oil and gas projects).
  • You have a strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards and regulations.
  • You bring expertise in electrical protection concepts and power electronics, specifically in the design of transformers.
  • You are highly independent with a strong sense of responsibility and team collaboration skills.
  • You are proficient in MS Office and fluent in English with excellent communication skills and a costumer-oriented approach.
