Job Title Expert Services Consultant Job Description In this highly Customer-interactive role, the Expert Services Consultant will be required to be technically minded and willing to expand on current knowledge and maintain an expert-status in a fast-moving environment. Sage Expert Services is a dynamic organization with challenging Clients. The Consultant must be highly motivated and have a pro-active approach, possessing an excellent understanding of software implementations and knowledge of the Sage application assigned.

The Consultant will quickly develop a deep knowledge of Sage application assigned. They will provide input on configuration and implementation of the application from pre-sales through implementation and, where required, ongoing Support and Maintenance. The Consultant will be able to support the Customer in enabling the Sage application to meet their business needs. This will be accomplished either by expanding on standard capabilities within the Sage application. However, the primary driver will be to guide the Customer to exploit the core capabilities of the Sage application and limit/negate any customizations outside of standard configuration. In addition, they will play a key role in the integration of third-party systems, data migrations and upgrades relating to the Sage application. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and understand the Customer's objectives, translate them into the system configuration, identify gaps and solutions, provide technical and application expertise through training, workshops, and knowledge transfer.
Identify opportunities for additional Sage Solutions and on selling themselves and their colleagues in Expert Services into the project to perform additional work that would benefit the Customer.
Provide the highest level of Customer satisfaction. They will be regarded as a technical expert in the Sage application and through their expertise ensure our customers and partners maximize the investment they have made.
Help build the reputation of the Expert Services Team and will be critical in achieving the quality, profitability, and Customer referenceability that Sage requires.
Work with internal teams to collaborate, drive prioritization, analyse and resolve issues (including escalations), resulting in the highest level of client satisfaction.
Track and communicate status and resolution to clients and Sage personnel in a factual, professional, timely and consistent manner.

Skills, know-how and experience:
3-5+ years of consulting, account management, project management, escalation management and/or technical/customer support experience
Demonstrates superior customer service, including the ability to set expectations, communicate clearly, confidently, timely and respectfully with customers. Executes with a sense of urgency, meeting requirements with minimal lead time
Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to multiple conflicting priorities, continuously prioritize and reprioritize deliverables and to respond to unexpected changes is required.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas to all audiences, including Executive and C-Level, verbally and in writing. Can easily change tactics midstream and adjust communications to ensure information is understood.

Preferred:
Construction Industry knowledge
Construction project processes such as estimating, bidding, quotes, etc.
Construction software knowledge. (I.E. CRE, Sage Construction Management)

Technical / professional qualifications:
Sage Certification or equivalent experience in the application assigned
Accounting or Finance experience or background desirable
