Responsibilities
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions in both scheduled and walk-in visits.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Prescribe medications, monitor treatment effectiveness, and provide preventive care and health education.
- Offer follow-up care and ensure continuity across the care journey.
- Perform minor in-office procedures such as wound care, joint injections, abscess drainage, and similar interventions.
- Provide appropriate pre- and post-procedural care in alignment with clinical protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Participate in team-based care coordination and regular clinic meetings.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation for all patient encounters.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and track clinical outcomes for ongoing enhancement.
- Comply with ethical standards, healthcare regulations, and documentation guidelines.
- Engage in continuous learning and stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
- Active California state medical license and DEA registration
- BE/BC in Family Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and experience working with all ages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
- Spanish proficiency a plus
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for the unique needs of elderly patients
