Facilities & Security Leader

Non-FAA Covered Position

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Facilities & Security Leader is accountable for all site Facilities and Security requirements. In this role you will demonstrate leadership in and accountability for business goals, commitments, and metrics. You will develop strategic initiatives and will work with internal cross-functional teams to sustain changes and optimize programs, while leveraging external resources to maximize impact and efficiencies.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Own Facilities and Securities requirements for the site facilities and security programs, responsible for ensuring compliance standards are maintained, regulatory maintenance is executed, meeting business expectations and driving continuous improvement
  • Create an effective preventative maintenance program, plan projects, and review and report on compliance with and completion of required building and infrastructure preventive maintenance and reactive work orders.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to determine expectations, regularly follow up to ensure overall satisfaction with the delivery of services
  • Ensure facilities alignment with production plan and KPIs. Oversight of execution of facilities projects to maintain alignment which includes strategic facilities planning and owning the projects that coincide
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Maintain and enhance site security programs that meet guidelines and expectations from Partner Security Teams which includes Physical Security Operations, Crisis Management, Workplace Violence, etc.
  • Forecast budget for Facilities and Security functions and monitor throughout the year
  • Ensure service providers for all major facilities operations, food service, janitorial, landscape, security and office services are properly managed and are performing according to contract.
  • Partners with local authorities as necessary
  • Provide recommendations to improve cost effectiveness and drive projects to completion
  • Lead or support any business specific facility related initiatives or projects (builds, moves, add, changes)
  • Be on call for all facilities related emergencies
  • Lead direct reports providing direction and training to develop their capabilities
  • Liaison with site sourcing team to negotiate, maintain, and review third party contractors, cleaners, waste removal, vending, recycling, security providers, etc. contracts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 5+ years facility management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, & influencing skills across diverse work groups in a challenging work environment; Preferred experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Understanding of commercial leases, contract documents, understanding of building systems.
  • Ability to be on-call and when needed, work a flexible schedule including weekends.
  • Strong project management skills and success in leading cross-functional teams.
