The Facilities Supervisor oversees and coordinates employees and activities related to maintaining and repairing site equipment, structures, utility systems and grounds. Additionally, the Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the development and maintenance of the facilities preventative maintenance (PM) and Calibrations plan. Utilizing SCN BestCo's Fiix computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), this position assigns daily work orders and develops long-term planning assignments. The Facilities Supervisor plans and coordinates all projects with facilities, maintenance, parts department, and production operations staff and contractors to ensure all parties have a clear understanding of all maintenance operations.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $88,106.07 - $132,159.11 per year less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is usually loud. The Facilities Planner will occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, near mechanical moving parts, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to plan and schedule corrective and preventative facilities activities outlined by the internal facilities and/or production engineering teams and management, by task and priority level to the facilities teams (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, bi-weekly etc.).
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive PM program for all facilities equipment.
- Coordinate and maintain all calibration activities and records.
- Maintain detailed equipment history in CMMS (Fiix).
- Review equipment history, track trends, recommend and drive preventative maintenance improvements.
- Develop and provide detailed job plan instructions (i.e. PM procedures).
- Partner with parts department on facilities maintenance plan, ensuring projects and PMs are kitted.
- Review all projects and assign personnel accordingly.
- Upkeep the facility and documentation to pass customer, quality, and cGMP audits.
- Coordinate equipment downtime maintenance with production, contractors, and facilities maintenance staff.
- Regularly inform production, management, and other relevant personnel of job progress.
- Support the development of annual overhaul schedules including shutdown maintenance planning.
- Develop and publish weekly facilities maintenance schedules and reports.
- Ensure department compliance with OSHA, EPA, applicable codes (NEC, IBC, ADA) and local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure reactive maintenance work is properly documented and entered in CMMS.
- When necessary, provide coverage in monitoring facilities' utilities.
People Leader Responsibilities
The Facilities Supervisor carries out People Leader Responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
- Hire, train, supervise, develop, and coach maintenance department employees.
- Review and maintain department attendance including weekly review and approval of hourly payroll.
- Provide On the Job Training (OJT) for new hires (Onboarding).
- Listen to team members' feedback and resolve/report any issues or conflicts.
- Recommend personnel actions (pay adjustments, promotions, transfers, terminations).
- Ensure safety and quality standards are enforced and met.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8 years' facilities or maintenance planning and/or industrial maintenance experience.
- 1 year of prior professional management, supervisory, and/or leadership experience.
- Maintenance CMMS database experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Broad knowledge of mechanical procedures.
- Advanced technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, reporting, planning, attention-to-detail, and collaboration skills.
- Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
