Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Manager will direct all maintenance activities to ensure that maximum operational potential is realized for the entire facility operations. This includes managing and participating in the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. Other responsibilities include all functions in the areas of departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance programs.

Job Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Manager will direct all maintenance activities to ensure that maximum operational potential is realized for the entire facility operations. Other responsibilities include all functions in the areas of departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage staffing of maintenance department
- Develop maintenance team members professionally (i.e., facilities, production, wastewater, tooling, purchasing, etc.)
- Coaches, trains, reviews, evaluates, counsels, and implements corrective action with employees as necessary, in conjunction with the general manager and human resources, to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements
- Ensure reliability of facility and equipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operation costs and satisfying all safety, environmental regulations
- Establish and implement processes to maintain the reliability of the equipment and ensure the processes are adhered to
- Own and manage Maintenance Metrics based on data documented in Fix CMMS to ensure all facility equipment runs in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner
- Responsible for facility safety inspections
- Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance
- Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
- Work with production to make modifications to equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency of operation
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to product processing
- Continuously improve manufacturing processes in terms of quality and performance measurements and identifying and eliminating bottleneck areas
- Own and manage Maintenance budget to include capital, budgeted and unplanned spend to drive effective prioritization of maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Construction team members on facility based Continuous Improvement, Reliability Centered Maintenance and Capital projects
- Design, document, troubleshoot, and lead the launch of new products and processes from an engineering perspective
- Develop and support the capital project planning and manage installation projects
- Coordinate the installation of new equipment to maximize production efficiency and maintainability
- Devise improvement processes to reduce scrap and defects while improving throughput and document SOPs and the implementation of Best Practices into the facility
- Support, develop, and optimize the Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategy for all assets in the facility to ensure their efficient upkeep and repair
- Perform maintenance tasks to ensure maximum machinery and equipment uptime, trouble shoot, and fix breakdowns
- Identify and solve safety concerns encountered during design and study of the process
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders and make updates to diagrams to include P&ID and CAD drawings
- Maintain a knowledge base in the capacity of existing utilities and the current level of utilization
- Stay abreast of the latest safety, environmental, and other regulations which affect the facility to ensure compliance
- Perform building, grounds, and security maintenance
- Establish and maintain vendor and contractor relationships
- Work cooperatively with departmental managers
- Any other duties as assigned

- Ability to effectively manage the selection, assessment, training and development, work direction, coaching and quality of life of the maintenance staff
- Troubleshooting skills based on systematically identifying and solving production equipment related problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities which includes matching staff to equipment to ensure product quality standards and production schedules are met
- Ability to evaluate employee performance against established standards, which includes recognizing employee strengths and developmental needs as well as determining appropriate compensation adjustments
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively apply management practices and team development techniques which includes the ability to motivate staff, deal with difficult employee issues and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to effectively communicate, in verbal and written form, with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively communicate and administer Local Bounti's policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to develop and manage a budget, including cost accounting and ability to initiate appropriate costing changes when conditions warrant
- Knowledge of and ability to develop and implement safety standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information, including drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of equipment and production processes
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or manufacturing and/or maintenance management strongly preferred.
- Must have recent experience in a Manufacturing facility, preferable food manufacturing with at least 5 years preferred experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expert working knowledge of all machine components and integration.
- Experience working with automated equipment to include PC, PLC and Robotic equipment
- Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving.
- Valid state Driver's License
