Job Summary
The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan is expanding. We are recruiting new faculty members to staff our affiliated NICU at Trinity Health Oakland (THO), in Pontiac, Michigan. Applicants must be board-certified in Pediatrics and board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the position start date. Responsibilities will include active participation in interprofessional Newborn ICU Quality Improvement and protocol development. Our faculty collaborate closely with colleagues in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine on-site, and virtually with Michigan Medicine Pediatrics faculty in Genetics, Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonology, and other pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. Faculty members working at THO will work to harmonize clinical practice guidelines and care models with faculty at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and take part in teaching and academic activities at the University of Michigan's Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Trinity Health Oakland is affiliated with Michigan Medicine and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital through a Joint Venture agreement. Trinity Health Oakland has 29 licensed level III NICU beds, with an average 50% occupancy. The hospital has 2000 deliveries annually. In the current staffing model 2 neonatologists round in-hospital every weekday. NNP's are in-house at night and the neonatologists take night call from home 1 week in 3; they are called in for any delivery
Required Qualifications*
Applicants must be board-certified in Pediatrics and board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the position start date.
