Summary of Position
The Nursing Faculty position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. RRCC Faculty teaches 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any RRCC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).

Advertised Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000, commensurate with education and experience. This salary is based on 164 contract days. The projected start date for this position is fall semester 2025, if mid year start, salary will be prorated based on the number of contract days worked. This is a full-time, 9-month, FLSA exempt position. This position may work additional non-contract days for program development, paid at the daily contract rate, and may work overloads paid at the overload rate. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, evaluating and updating the purpose, mission, and objectives of the Nursing Education Program.
- Designing, implementing and evaluating the curriculum using a written plan.
- Developing, evaluating and revising student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies within the policies of the Governing Body.
- Participating in academic advising and guidance of students.
- Planning and providing theoretical instruction and clinical or laboratory experiences that reflect an understanding of the mission, objectives and curriculum of the Nursing Education Program
- Planning, monitoring and evaluating the instruction provided by ANIP, Clinical Faculty and Preceptors.
- Evaluating student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to nursing knowledge and practice.

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from a national nursing accredited institution OR
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from a national nursing accredited institution and a written plan demonstrating progression in obtaining a master's degree in nursing from a national nursing accredited institution.
- Two years of full-time, or equivalent, professional nursing clinical experience.
- Nursing practice expertise in any of the following areas: Medical/Surgical nursing or Mental Health nursing.
- Experience teaching and/or training others.
- An active, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado or ability to obtain by the date of hire.
- Qualify for a Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential including 4,000 paid non-teaching occupational hours within the past five years.
- **Current teachers applying to teach RRCC campus-based, online, or concurrent enrollment CTE courses may include non-teaching occupational hours that are older than the 5-year requirement if they have the required degree (and license/certifications as listed) and a minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience in the discipline/program or 6 years part-time teaching experience in the discipline/program.

- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports office equipment, nursing lab equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- This position operates in an office environment, classroom, nursing lab, and clinical settings, frequently uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc. This position requires active use of nursing lab equipment and supplies.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
