Our growing law firm is looking to hire an attorney experienced in estate planning, probate and family law who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with estate planning and probate, prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!
Responsibilities
We need an attorney who can contribute to developing the strategy of a case and who knows where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy
We need an attorney who knows how to find your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of our clients

Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
Qualifications
Previous family law experience is highly desired - previous litigation experience required
Experience in estate planning and probate is highly desired
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience
Seasoned Family Law Attorney applicants are highly desired
Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
