Our entrepreneurial law firm is poised for aggressive growth, and we're looking for an A Player attorney who can hit the ground running to give clients outstanding representation. Ideal candidates have 5 or more years of experience as lawyers in family law and can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. We are looking for a team player to take ownership of a client's case, including consulting with clients, having direct contact with opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling mediations, conferences, pretrial hearings, and trials. You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, and common technology. Even better if you know how to use Clio on a Mac. Our firm has created efficient processes to streamline workflow so case management is seamless between attorneys and the skilled paralegals who assist.
Responsibilities
Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
Qualifications
Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
