Seawatch Medical Clinic, located at Suite 203, 2276 Island Hwy S, Campbell River, British Columbia, is seeking a family physician to join our welcoming and highly collaborative team. Our clinic provides a full spectrum of family medicine services in a well-equipped, modern environment designed for efficiency and patient-centered care.

ROS - IMG Mentorship & Integration: As a recognized site that has successfully hosted Return of Service - IMG applicants for several years, we have extensive experience in supporting internationally trained physicians transitioning into Canadian practice. Our team has a long-standing history of mentorship and integration for ROS applicants-exemplified by the success of our clinic owner, Dr. Alejandra Farias, who joined Seawatch as an IMG completing her ROS in 2015.
Teaching & Training: In addition to supporting ROS - IMG candidates, we are a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program teaching site, working with R1 and R2 residents to foster the next generation of family physicians.
Flexible Model: Physicians enjoy autonomy in setting their schedules, with optional participation in weekend call and inpatient rounds.
Modern Facility: Our clinic operates on the MYLE EMR system, optimizing workflow and efficiency. Our shared, open-concept workspace with an ocean view creates a welcoming and comfortable work environment.
Additional Practice Opportunities & Details
Hospital Privileges: Optional. Physicians may apply for privileges at the local hospital if desired.
Emergency Medicine (EM) Coverage: Not required as part of clinic duties. However, those interested in EM work can explore local opportunities.
Long-Term Care: Optional. Dr. Farias currently provides long-term care services, and additional physician involvement is welcome.
Walk-In Services: We are not a walk-in clinic, but we offer same-day appointments for registered patients.
Maternity Care: Optional. Physicians interested in incorporating maternity care into their practice are encouraged to do so.
Remuneration & Overhead Costs
Payment Models: We support physicians working under Fee-for-Service (FFS), the Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) payment model, or the New to Practice Contract (NTP), allowing flexibility in how you structure your practice.
Overhead Costs: $8,000 per month, which includes:
Billing support to assist with claims and revenue management.
MOA (Medical Office Assistant) support for administrative and patient care tasks.
Facility costs, including rent and utilities.
Access to the MYLE EMR system for efficient workflow.
Flexible scheduling based on physician preference.
