Job Title: Commercial Sales Director
Reports To: VP & GM Federal Equipment Company
Summary
Federal Equipment Company (FEC) is looking for a Commercial Sales Director to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the business and growing sales within the commercial TKF Material Handling business. The TKF platform is an industry leading solutions provider offering engineering design, manufacturing, and installation of conveyor and lift systems for automotive, appliance, paper goods, packaging as well as other manufacturing and material handling industries.

Note: This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Job Title: Commercial Sales Director

Federal Equipment Company (FEC) is looking for a Commercial Sales Director to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the business and growing sales within the commercial TKF Material Handling business. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the TKF business including customer management, sales, business development, revenue growth and margin realization
- Identify new customers and opportunities that grow the TKF commercial material handing business 2X-3X in the first three years
- Prepare and deliver presentations (including technical presentations that explain products or services) to customers and potential customers
- Collaborate with TKF engineers and contract engineering firms to provide best in class customer solutions
- Provide necessary information to customers including pricing, delivery and terms and conditions of sale - active selling is required
- Attend industry-related product shows representing the TKF brand connecting with customers, partners and suppliers
- Take leadership role in all customer-related activities, including visits to existing customer locations
- Collaborate with Program Management to ensure projects are executed and delivered on time and under budget
- Support a team environment that ensures alignment to company goals, objectives, and corporate values
- Lead in a manner that supports Fairbanks Morse's values of Safety, Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Responsibility and Accountability
- Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
- Collaborate with FMD Marketing to update TKF website
- Other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining an organized and clean workspace
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business field, equivalent experience is required
- At least five years' experience in the material handling field
- At least five years of experience in selling to automotive, appliance, paper goods or other manufacturers that require material handling and/or lift solutions
- Must have demonstrated capability of working / negotiating with the decision makers within customers
- Build effective working relationship with the company's support organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interface and gain trust cross functionally and effectively manage in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Microsoft office experience is required
- Previous experience in sales or sales management is required
- Experience negotiating and interpreting contracts
- Travel up to 30%
