Job Overview: eFX Strat
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our eFX Strats team in New York. The role involves working with our Head of Signal Research to research and develop long-term alpha signals. This position requires a strong quantitative background and the ability to drive projects independently while communicating effectively with senior management and trading desks. A proven track record of alpha generation and monetisation is essential.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 - $200,000 per year for Associate and $200,000 - $250,000 for VP, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our eFX Strats team in New York. Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, backtest new alpha signals.
- Collaborate closely with the HoR to build the framework that meet the business's dynamic needs.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to deliver, test models and manage delivery of projects.
- Work closely with controllers and model risk groups to ensure thorough documentation and approval of models.
Requirements
- Proven prior experience in eFX spot market making, alpha generation and systematic-strategies management.
- Advanced degree (MSc. / PhD) in a numerate discipline, such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics or a similar quantitative field.
- Big data analysis experience is a prerequisite. Machine learning and AI is advantageous.
- Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with KDB/q is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and experience within a front-office environment
- Proven track record in independent project management.
