About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Operations this position is based in-person, in our Calgary office or Field office near Rocky Mountain House.

Job functions will involve:
  • Operational financial analysis and support
  • Responsible for monthly accruals and reporting of actual results vs budget
  • Work with teams in the field to develop annual field budgets, monthly operational spend and book monthly accruals
  • Provide monthly reporting to operational teams and senior management
  • Analyze components of the financials for the regions and provide insights on the results
  • Support in the development and management of annual operating budgets
  • Provide support to AFE workflow. Monitor over and underspent AFEs
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure maintenance capital spend and reforecast is captured and reported accurately
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls related to capital
  • Responding to auditor queries
  • Provide data and analysis to support divestiture and acquisition activities
  • Support additional analysis and reporting requirements for clients of the team

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Certified General Accountant (CGA) or Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation
  • 5+ years' experience working in the oil and gas industry an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of analyzing data and providing insights
  • Strong time management and ability to work with multiple deadlines
