The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Groton, CT is seeking a Sr. Field Engineer. This role will support installation, test and maintenance of the new Navy Ballistic Missile submarines. The ideal candidate will work with crews on submarine tasks, advanced support maintenance, troubleshooting tasks and contractor tasks. The candidate will support training and familiarization of the Navigation subsystem as well as coordinate frequent communications/meetings with the customer and leadership under direction of team leads. This position will require travel and temporary duty (TDY) assignment. Assignment will include work at Electric Boat Shipyard in Groton, CT and at Barrow-in-Furness in the United Kingdom. Must be a US Citizen as this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
*Technical degree and/or education to support next generation submarine programs.
*5+ years' experience system level testing and troubleshooting
*Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
*Communication and project management skills to support status reporting and customer meetings.
* Experience with development and review of test documentation and procedures
*Ability to obtain security clearance
Desired skills
- Self starter, adept to taking initiative and working well on a team.
- Ability to handle long term tasking as well as emergent tasking to support the mission.
- Clear and concise communication style, ability to communicate with all levels of leadership, peers and customers.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
