Arcadis is looking to hire a Field Engineer to join our growing Northern California Construction Management Team based out of our Irvine, California office. This is a Part-time onsite project role within the Riverside County area.

Role description:

The Field Engineer will work onsite with general oversight from the Construction Manager during the planning, installation, and commissioning of the electrical and mechanical portions of projects that may include water, chemical or manufacturing chemical systems or similar electrical/mechanical processes.

Role accountabilities:
  • Proactively engages in the planning of the work to foresee and help resolve design/construction issues.
  • Evaluates internal electrical and mechanical design/construction concerns and recommends which concerns need to be addressed.
  • Trouble-shoots and resolves field problems, with the support of design consultant, including responding to contractor correspondence.
  • Responds to situations requiring immediate action and recommends alternatives for resolving issues.
  • Monitors and enforces contract requirements related to the electrical and mechanical portions of the project.
  • Reviews the contractor as-built drawings and schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinates with the construction inspection field staff to ensure quality construction, safety standards, on schedule and with minimum practicable impact to District operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Civil / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 or more years' experience working in the field for an Civil /mechanical /electrical contractor, owner's representative, or a municipality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the field installing and commissioning chemical systems or similar electrical/mechanical processes.
  • Experience in Process Systems is a plus.
  • EIT or PE Professional license.
  • Professional certification such as CCM or NICET.
  • Inspection experience in water, chemical or manufacturing facilities.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $81,420- $122,130.
