Description:

Install, maintain, secure, and evaluate network systems and communications. troubleshoots network issues involving various factors. Must have knowledge of the internet, computer, routers, switches, firewalls, etc. typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or its equivalent.

What You'll Do:
  • Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications on mobile power generation equipment and gas processing equipment in remote locations.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve hardware, software, and configuration problems on networking devices.
  • Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies for current and future applications.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all aspects of network hardware, software interfacing, IT security, and interconnection.
  • Collect information from customers and engineering groups that are related to the network issue for purposes of designing network solutions.
  • Collecting information for hardware and software selection, implementation tools, and techniques for an efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future requirements.
  • Configure, update, provision, and troubleshoot Cisco on switches, routers, and firewalls in an industrial environment.
  • Configure, update, provision, and troubleshoot Fortinet on switches, routers, and firewalls in an industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, satellite, and LTE communications systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  • Minimum of (5) five years' experience in the networking field.
  • Demonstrate experience in network engineering, planning, cyber security, designing, provisioning, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to travel more than 50%.
  • Ability to support emergency network outages on evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work with a team, take general directions from several sources, focus attention on details, and complete projects.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize departmental and individual work to meet various schedules and objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve issues/problems.
