POSITION SUMMARY:

A key financial position within the Nestle Health Science US Team, this position gathers and interprets financial information effectively and prepares meaningful, concise analysis for functional stakeholders. This position also identifies financial trends and is a key decision support for Leadership. The individual will influence business strategy, exercise good judgment, focus on results and ensure financial integrity in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This position is hybrid , with weekly support in our Hoboken ,NJ Headquarters .

This will include:
  • Operations Finance manager with direct accountability for our Vitamins, Minerals, Herbals, Supplements (VMHS) portfolio
  • Planning and Analysis of Cost of Production (for both Nestle Factories as well as Co-manufacturers), Cost of Goods Sold, as well as Fixed Factory Overhead and Depreciation
  • Maintains and prepares Annual Manufacturing budget and production standards jointly with Operations Finance team
  • Leads and/or facilitates Cost Savings Initiatives for the VMHS Manufacturing network
  • Adherences to financial & legal requirement as well as Nestle Accounting Standards. In-depth costing analysis support Marketing on new initiatives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning & Analysis of COGS/ Cost of Production (COP)
  • Converts cost analysis and reporting related to volume, mix and rate
  • Provides explanation of COGS variance in actual vs forecast to Co-Pilots
  • Works with Procurement team to understand and report out key aggravation or benefit in commodities that may impact the COGs rates
  • Tracks actual results, analyzes, and explains variances, establishes monthly management reporting package
  • Proactively manages emerging risks and opportunities in cooperation with Co-Pilot and manufacturing locations
  • Ensures alignment of factory costing processes with Nestle Costing Standards and related change
  • Special project tracking related but not limited to the setup of financial budget and spend tracking
Costing Analysis
  • Monthly prepares period end close reports and provides to Co-Pilot for review with Co-Pilots
  • Works alongside a cross functional department to complete cost comparisons between products, and factories
  • Prepares business model financials in support of product innovation and sourcing
  • Provides explanation as to what is driving the key variances
Accounting Activities
  • Monthly, prepares standard and non-standard journal entries in accordance with Nestle Accounting Standards
  • Monthly, prepares reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts
  • Reviews and updates COG's rates to ensure forecast content is relevant and reliable; review significant change with Co-Pilots
Total Delivered Cost Improvement
  • Tracking and reporting on cost reduction initiatives in support of business objectives; validate via savings to the financials
  • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in factory and Operations. Active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or comparable
  • 5+ years of experience in finance (preferably operations finance environment)
  • Nice to have: MBA
  • Nice to have: CPA, CMA, or CIA

SKILLS:

  • Manufacturing and costing background
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Aptitude with Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Analysis for Office, and PowerBI
  • SAP experience, strongly preferred
