GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for monthly reporting and financial analysis; management of budget process and developing the budget; RFP and grants; cash flow projections; effective banking relationships and cash management; and analysis of investment performance, reporting and recommending preferred changes. Communicate effectively with the Chief Financial Officer regarding status of work. Effectively supervise all direct reports. Be able and flexible to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field. MBA preferred. Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in a treasury or finance organization, not-for-profit experience is a plus.
JOB TASKS
Ensure the accuracy of all management reporting. Provide technical finance expertise in all assigned areas. Develop and produce all required weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports on a timely basis. Utilize advanced analytical skills to review reports and identify potential areas of opportunity and concern to senior and executive management. Develop the budget process and lead the annual budget for CAU and other entities. Develop, revise, and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the finance department. Provide technical expertise and actively participate in the selection and implementation of a new comprehensive accounting system. Ensure all entities maintain adequate, current insurance Serve as Cash Management point of contact by overseeing daily cash position, processing incoming and outgoing transfers, and preparing cash projection reports. Manage all bank relationships. Review investment reporting from investment advisory including asset holdings vs. asset allocation targets, performance vs. benchmarks and any other issues that arise. Interface with supervisor on evaluation and development of staff and improvement of organizational workflows. All other duties as assigned
