Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Financial Analyst, Senior who applies analytical expertise in performing economic research on rates return, depreciation and investments, and analysis of profit-and-loss income statements. Prepares reports and makes recommendations to management, while ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Job Accountabilities:
  • Performs financial analysis on product costs, margins, cash flows and working capital
  • Works with specified time(s) to collect information on existing and new products, while developing forward pricing strategies
  • Formulates financial analysis and presentation packages for senior management and corporate leadership
  • Provides analysis to support positive and/or negative positions on negotiations
  • Prepares various ad-hoc analytical studies at the request of management
  • Monitors project funding and collaborates with specified departments through project completion
  • Work with Materials Management on Cycle Counts with goal to eliminate physical count
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Finance or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
Years' Experience: 5 (plus) years of relevant experience
Skills:
  • Thorough understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices, procedures and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience
  • Ability to analyze and translate complex data into easily understandable information and makes recommendations; uses expertise to solve complex problems
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information effectively
  • Ability to trace data flow through ERP to trace variances and correct errors
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
  • Previous knowledge of report building, PowerBI, SQL highly preferred
