This position will support Finance & Silfex Operations through analysis of all aspects of inventory management, financial modeling and other special projects related to business operations and finance.

Essential Function:
This position will support Finance & Silfex Operations through analysis of all aspects of inventory management, financial modeling and other special projects related to business operations and finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary focus will be in financial planning and forecasting. With 5+ years of experience in advanced excel based modeling.
- Lead the period cycle count execution from a financial audit perspective.
- Field internal/external audit requests concerning inventory.
- Lead annual product cost analysis and cost roll activities.
- Apply financial principles for inventory analysis of processes and products, including its valuation and cost drivers.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision supporting business objectives.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements in business drivers (KPIs).
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Apply knowledge of financial management functions, processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program or project managers and key stakeholders in the business.
- Support ongoing improvement of business processes impacting financial forecasting and management reporting.
- Perform workflow items in the ERP system related to costing, inventory adjustments, and setting of transfer pricing.
- Perform all related tasks in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to Silfex management.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures as appropriate.
- Apply Lean manufacturing concepts, including 5S.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department management.
- Must possess the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization (written and verbal).
- Must be highly motivated and have a desire to innovate and create new way of problem solving.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to extract data from and ERP and make it useful and actionable to the business.
- Must work effectively with personnel at various levels within the organization, from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations clearly in oral and written form.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of progressive Finance, Accounting, or Economics experience in business finance or other relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. MBA/CPA preferred.
- Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments.
- Experience with MRP or ERP systems and data querying methods and tools
- Excellent application skills in financial principles; including costing, valuation, and financial modeling
- Excellent written or verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
