The Smart Infrastructure Buildings Business Unit's Northeast Zone is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst (FA)/Operations Analyst. The FA leads and manages operational and field service reporting, control, and analysis for the $700M+ Northeast Zone, with a strong focus on driving processes, profitability, and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with peers in finance, zone management, branch management, sales management, operations management, and business unit headquarters-demanding strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This position can be located in either Canton, MA (Boston) or Morristown, NJ, with a hybrid working environment.

As a Financial Analyst with a focus on operations, you will:

• Partner with the Head of Zone Operations to identify opportunities, drive strategic priorities and deliver financial results
• Provide a wide field of financial analysis and reporting for Service and Solution Operations (e.g., weekly Operations Report, Slip/Pipe Reporting, Timesheets & Utilization)
• Manage absorption reporting, including cost analysis, forecasting, labor rate calculations, and troubleshooting for the zone and branches
• Drive continuous improvement in all areas of the business
• Implement controlling processes for Projects and Service Orders (Cost to complete reviews, margin analysis, slip analysis)
• Work closely with the Operations & Branch Finance team in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks & opportunities, strategies, and response activities
• Continuously evaluate risks and opportunities affecting gross margin, proactively implementing measures to prevent avoidable margin slippage
• Resolve Purchase Order and GR/IR issues
• Support Operations in the reconciliation of PCA/claims and SOVs
• Manage service reporting portfolio for the zone, including billing blocks, service agreements, and billing due reports
• Process Journal Entry requests and job cost transfers
• Support ad-hoc requests as required from Management / HQ
• Coordinate requests for RIC testing and E&Y audits
• Act as subject matter expert for labor rate workbook tool and process

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar focus
• 5+ years of financial work experience with a strong focus on earnings, financial reporting, and business analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficiency with related SAP modules
• Experience with creating dashboards in Power BI
• Experience with Salesforce
• Skills/exposure in leading-edge analytics/visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Knime, Qlik, Tableau)
• Intermediate understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes
• Experience in SAP
• Ability to quickly develop understanding of business characteristics
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
• Effective working with others on a common task in a personal or virtual environment
• Contributes to team achievements by taking responsibility for own efforts and seeking input/guidance when needed
• Ability to clearly articulate information verbally and in writing
• Adaptability to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work
• Ability to identify conflicts or potential slippage and seek assistance on prioritizing workload

• The pay range for this position is $79,730 - $136,680 a year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
