As a SR Financial Analyst for European Clinical Labs you will perform a variety of financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, reconciliation and other related financial activities. You will partner with lines of business to provide financial consulting, advice and support. Compile and analyze financial statements, information and reports. Develop revenue/expense and other financial analyses, reports and presentations.

What you will do:

Business Partnering
Partners with Reference Labs line of business by providing financial business tools, dashboards and reports for timely decision-making. Consults with and advises lines of business, ensuring business decisions are well supported from financial standpoint.
Primary Finance Business Partner for Southern European labs and Ops Excellence International.
Partners with Reference Labs management team to develop accurate opportunity & risk assessments.
Partners with Reference Labs management team to identify, develop & track savings & productivity initiatives.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive Reference Labs environments within region and presents findings to management.

FP&A Activities
Lead Global Reporting Support, providing deeper analysis for Customer Revenue, Global Supplies and ad hoc requests. Partnering with Regional Finance partners and Reference Labs teams to optimize financial performance.
Supports period-end close processes which may include reconciliation of internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin and expense information.
Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual regional Ref Lab P&L's, expenses and CAPEX, ensuring that financial information is recorded and presented accurately and timely.
Develops various analyses, reports and presentations; performs ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed.
Participates in strategic planning and budget process, providing financial information, analysis and support as needed.
Develops financial models for business initiatives such as product launches, geographical expansion and proposed marketing programs.
Supports Reference Labs team with regular and accurate projections, advice on transportation cost & investment needs.

Project Support
Leads Global Standardization and alignment on Reference labs FP&A activities, including reporting, financial planning, analysis, processes and key performance dashboards.
Develops various analyses, reports and presentations; performs ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed for the Global Reference Labs Organization.
Ad hoc projects for global Urology department.
Develops financial models for Global Reference Labs for business initiatives such as acquisitions, greenfield Ref Lab opportunities, new productivity & automation investments.

General
Works with multiple systems for use in information retrieval and analyses.
Identifies and implements processes and improvements in planning, analysis, reporting and monitoring of both financial and non-financial measures. Leverages information technology to automate, streamline and integrate processes.
Monitors internal control environment. Identifies gaps in controls and supports development of approaches to mitigate exposure.

What you need to succeed:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Masters degree or equivalent preferred.
Analytical skills.
Detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of data, databases and data mining and manipulation, if applicable.
Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Extensive sitting, phone and computer use.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
May be required to lift, move and carry up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
