Volt is immediately hiring for a Financial Analyst in Lake Forest, CA
As a Financial Analyst you will:
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Manufacturing background
- Conduct P&L trend analysis to identify variances, cost efficiencies, and areas for financial improvement.
- Assist in the development and execution of the annual budget roll-out, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Process and post month-end journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Apply ASC 842 lease accounting standards to ensure compliance with lease reporting requirements.
- Provide audit support, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business operations and cost control initiatives.
- Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP, and industry best practices in financial reporting and compliance.
- Perform cost accounting functions, including analyzing manufacturing costs, monitoring inventory valuation, and supporting cost control initiatives.
This is a Full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- General Ledger experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing background
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting and general GAAP principles.
- Experience with month-end closing processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
