The CRC Finance Department is seeking to fill a Financial Analyst position located in Bakersfield, CA. The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $95k to $125K, with a target annual bonus target of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Responsibilities
- Provide financial accounting support to the business units and head office
- Support ongoing project management and operational expenditure efficiency activities
- Provide technical and economic support on AFEs
- Gather and analyze data from multiple areas to ensure proper recording of all Capex and Opex expenditures
- Detailed data-driven cost and variance analysis, interpretation and problem solving
- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast for Oil & Gas Operations
- Ad-hoc business performance reporting
- Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
- Internal and external audit support / ensuring compliance with SOX controls
- Communicating with other departments and multiple levels of management as necessary to accomplish business objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate proactive attitude, showing and taking initiative
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management, operations, and external customers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and interact effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience in Oil & Gas Financial Analysis, Planning, or Accounting
- Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion
- Experience with Spotfire and/or database manipulation (SQL)
