Financial Analyst

The CRC Finance Department is seeking to fill a Financial Analyst position located in Bakersfield, CA. The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $95k to $125K, with a target annual bonus target of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Responsibilities

• Provide financial accounting support to the business units and head office
• Support ongoing project management and operational expenditure efficiency activities
• Provide technical and economic support on AFEs
• Gather and analyze data from multiple areas to ensure proper recording of all Capex and Opex expenditures
• Detailed data-driven cost and variance analysis, interpretation and problem solving
• Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast for Oil & Gas Operations
• Ad-hoc business performance reporting
• Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
• Internal and external audit support / ensuring compliance with SOX controls
• Communicating with other departments and multiple levels of management as necessary to accomplish business objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate proactive attitude, showing and taking initiative
• Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management, operations, and external customers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and interact effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant
• Experience in Oil & Gas Financial Analysis, Planning, or Accounting
• Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion
• Experience with Spotfire and/or database manipulation (SQL)
