Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller / Senior Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Netsuite and Bill.com, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to cost-saving and financial efficiency. This role will involve overseeing our purchasing department and ensuring accurate financial records, timely bill payments, and effective collaboration with our external accountant.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records, including daily transactions, reconciliations of bank accounts, and financial statements using Netsuite and Bill.com.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely bill payments and collections.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and improved financial efficiency.

Purchasing Oversight: Oversee the purchasing department to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and cost-effective procurement practices.

Collaboration with Accountant: Work closely with our external accountant for tax preparation, audits, and financial strategy development.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.
  • Proficiency with Netsuite and Bill.com is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
