As a key sector within EBC, the Finance Department is proactive and collaborates efficiently with our teams and external partners to capitalize on great accounting management and apply appropriate controls. To this end, the sixty or so skilled professionals who make up the Finance team make it their duty to offer quality service and respond to evolving needs. With the anticipated growth of EBC, the financial team need to extend their operations across the country. Reporting to the headquarters the Financial Controller will be responsible to ensure operational synergy between finances and projects in the area.

*The position will be based in Vancouver or Toronto.

RESPONSABILITIES :

  • Work closely with Vice-president Operations & Vice-president major projects in order to organize the financial aspect of the projects and support them through management operations;
  • Support VP in any other tasks related to contractual management of projects;
  • Participate actively in monthly cost control review meetings for Ontario & British-Colombia;
  • Participate in the analysis of partnership across Ontario & British-Colombia;
  • Control and monitor project cash flows;
  • Participate and analyze the various monthly financial reports submitted to management;
  • Build and follow financial performance indicators for projects to measure performance;
  • Implement EBC's financial structure in the joint ventures concerned;
  • Build and organize financial team in major projects if required;
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget;
  • Participate in the recruitment, training & development of the team according to the operational needs;
  • Process to information capture on differents sources;
  • All others related tasks.


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS :

  • University degree in finances or accounting;
  • Holding CPA title;
  • Between 5 and 10 years of experience in finance/accounting;
  • Experience in construction or engineering is a important asset;
  • Bilinguism (French and English) is a strong asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
