POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, or at his discretion, the Acting Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is responsible for providing leadership and management to the accounting and financial department. The Corporate Controller will be part of the executive management team and in that capacity, partner with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives across the organization. The Controller will be responsible for the planning and execution of all fiscal matters and oversee controls and compliance of the organization.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for this position is a proven value-driven leader - a financial leader who will collaborate with all departments to problem solve. The ideal candidate will have experience in management of a full- scope accounting and finance team in a manufacturing Company. Experience will include experience in banking relations, and management of all external financial activities including audit and tax.

Salary
$140K-$160K

MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
- Oversee the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of financial goals and objectives for the organization.
- Prepares the annual budget in collaboration with the CEO/President, CFO, and senior staff and monitors variance analyses of monthly results of operations versus budgeted trends, conducts forecasts and creates accountability within the organization.
- Communicate financial position to department managers to determine ongoing success or need for amendment or remediation.
- Makes presentations as needed to the President/CEO, Operating Managers, and, and Board of Directors. Presents financial, data and budgets and analyses as necessary or requested.
- Play a leadership role in the development and execution of the organization's long-term strategic plan.
FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
- Prepare information to assist the President/CEO with strategic financial planning.
- Implement a robust monthly accounting close process that responds to fixed reporting deadlines and meets all requirements of external audit to provide timely, accurate monthly and annual reporting requirements
- Train and mentor the accounting team in providing discipline in accounting processes and controls including cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, and adherence to GAAP in all aspects of financial reporting.
- Create variance analysis, cash flow control, and tax planning and reporting.
- Manage any outsourced financial activities.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external tax accountants to ensure the timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control safeguards.
- Oversee the timely and accurate filing of the organization's Form 990.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of financial matters including preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, annual budgets and tracking and analysis of expenditures.
- Hands-on experience with automated financial systems.
- Ability to deal with a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with diverse audiences in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a consistent team-approach.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Previous work experience in audit with a major public accounting/audit firm and a CPA is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of GAAP requirements and internal controls is required.
- Ten (10) years of increasingly responsible and relevant experience including experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
